Local Lawsuit

Local Lawsuit
Use the Internet to research a situation where an employer was involved in a lawsuit. (HINT: Use www.mspb.gov or www.eeoc.gov.)
Write a 4-6 page paper in which you
1. Summarize the actions that lead to the lawsuit.
2. Discuss what management could have done in terms of risk management to have prevented the events that lead to the lawsuit.
3. Discuss the ethical considerations reflected in the laws applicable to this case.
4. Determine which sources of law would be most relevant in this case and how management could leverage knowledge of those sources to prevent similar instances in the future.
5. Recommend what management might have been able to do to pursue alternate resolutions (outside of court).
6. Research and cite at least 6 peer-reviewed academic sources in addition to the textbook.
Your assignment must:
• Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
• Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required page length. (I will do this part by myself)
Grading for this assignment will be based on answer quality, logic/organization of the paper, and language and writing skills, using the following rubric
Thoroughly summarized the actions that lead to the lawsuit.
Thoroughly discussed what management could have done in terms of risk management to have prevented the events that lead to the lawsuit.
