Hamlet

Hamlet obviously admires his father, yet does not immediately seek revenge, even after the confirmation of King Claudius’ guilt. Explain how Hamlet fails to be his father’s son, in ways that Laertes and Fortinbras do not fail their fathers. Do not oversimplify this argument, as it is more complex than it might initially appear. Consider the type of man King Hamlet appears to have been, how Hamlet and other characters describe him, how he behaves when he visits the earth as a ghost and the way Gertrude responds to Hamlet’s argument in her closet.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE ON THIS TOPIC
