Microeconomics Paper Assignment
I. The Paper
You must write (at least) a six page paper. The text is (at least) six pages. The other materials are required but not included in the 6 page minimum:
1. Title Page. (Separate page.)
2. At least five pages of text. (Separate page.)
3. At least three tables. (Separate page.)
4. Notes. (Separate page.)
5. Bibliography. (Separate page.)
Follow the Format Guide and the Writing Guide carefully. A sample paper is posted. Follow that example carefully. Be very careful to:
1. Have 1” margins.
2. Paginate every page except the title page.
3. Double space the text with 12 point Times New Roman font.
4. Have a separate note for each sentence with a fact in it.
5. Format the Tables properly. Do not download the contents of a table.
6. Format the notes correctly. Do not use the automatic note function. It is wrong.
7. Format the Bibliography correctly.
8. Write clearly. Don’t make any spelling errors.
9. Use headings. Don’t use bold or underline.
10. Be sure to have a reference in the text of your paper to each table you include.
11. Note: A graph is NOT a table.
12. Note: Tables with less than 50 numbers in them are considered to be weak. Tables with less than 20 numbers in them basically are not tables.
13. Staple neatly in the top left hand corner.
14. Note: You may NOT use direct quotes. You must put everything in your own words. Five words in a row from a source is plagiarism and will show up in Turnit.com.
15. Do not right-hand justify the text. Do not use “full justification.”
16. Use sequential notes. Do NOT number notes like Wikipedia does. That is WRONG! The notes in the text are numbered 1, 2, 3, etc to the end, no repeated numbers!
Write an informative paper about some aspect of the topic. It can be an overview, a case study, an issue, or a series of topics
