Agricultural sector

The Australian Department of Finance and Deregulation recently released a paper: Big Data Strategy ? Issues Paper, ? Commonwealth of Australia 2013.
While this paper is about Big Data in Government, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet decided, on advice from portfolio ministers, that new opportunities existed not only for government agencies, but also for the Australian economy at large and resolved to identify key priority areas where the Commonwealth Government could start financing and building programs and ensuing funded projects for Australia to reap the benefits of this new technology.
One potential use of Big Data Analytics is in agriculture, to improve the yield, reduce the risk and increase competitiveness of producers in the interest of domestic agriculture.
You, as a strategic Enterprise Architecture consultant, are asked to analyse the situation, and give recommendations. As part of this, your area asked to:
1. Identify the elements of the business model that this new opportunity could realise
2. Describe the Business concept, that outlines the vision of this future business model
3. Detail the strategy to implement the vision, including the strategic objective and the principles / policies, suggested solutions that should guide this transformation.
4. Describe, using a dynamic business model, what is involved in the transformation of the present business model to realize this envisioned future
The total length of the assignment, including figures, is likely to be ~7-8 pages including figures (and the explanatory text of this template)
Consider this assignment as the draft of the first part of your final assignment. Submit in pdf or docx format (pdf preferred).
In a real life scenario what you are producing would be part of a Business Plan, but this assignment does not ask you to create a complete business plan. CLICK HERE FOR MORE ON THIS TOPIC
