After a long period in which UK grocery stores concentrated their efforts for growth on large out-of-town stores we now see national retailers returning to town centres and local areas with smaller scale convenience stores. Why?
Using Porter’s Five Forces framework analyse the UK convenience retailing sector. Identify and discuss the industry factors that shape the structure of the industry and the nature of competition.
