In many stories of the Old Testament God is often viewed as a violent judge. Is this an accurate portrayal of God? Explain. In the Books of Deuteronomy and Joshua the Israelites followed a law of God entitled herem, often translated ‘the ban of destruction for God.’ What really does herem refer to?
